Jinan Metro Line 2

It's open!

March 26, Jinan Rail Transit Line 2 (hereinafter referred to as "Line 2"), which was built with the participation of Far East Communications, commenced trial operation, marking the official entry of Quancheng Metro into the interchange era! Line 2 is an east-west urban express line, with a line color of "river vein yellow". It has a total of 19 stations along the route. After opening, it will greatly facilitate citizens' travel, alleviate east-west traffic pressure, and become a backbone rail transit line supporting the expansion of the strip-shaped urban space.

Line 2 is the first fully automated metro line in Shandong Province, making Jinan the fifth city in China to open a fully automated metro line. The train is deeply integrated with the signaling, communication, comprehensive monitoring, and platform screen door systems. The entire process, from train wake-up, self-inspection, departure, inter-station operation, station parking, door opening and closing, turnaround, return to depot, sleep, and car washing, is highly automated. The train's operating status is uploaded to the ground control center in real time, ensuring higher safety and efficiency.

In the Line 2 project, Far East Communications was fortunate to participate in the construction as a communication system integrator, providing an overall solution for dedicated communication and public security communication systems. Dedicated wireless systems, dedicated telephone systems, digital recording systems, and centralized alarm systems all use Far East Communications' self-developed products, providing wireless dispatching, wired dispatching, and operation and maintenance communication methods for the fully automated operation of the line.

Line 2 is the third urban rail transit line that Far East Communications has participated in building in Jinan. During the project implementation, under the guidance and leadership of Jinan Rail Transit Group Construction Investment Co., Ltd., Far East Communications, together with various construction parties of Jinan Rail Transit, overcame difficulties, carried forward the spirit of hard work and perseverance, jointly created the "Jinan Speed," provided strong support and guarantee for Jinan Rail Transit communication dispatching, and ensured the successful opening of Line 2 for trial operation.
