RRU (Remote Radio Unit) serves as a remote radio frequency device for distributed eNB macro base stations, responsible for providing wireless coverage of the network. It completes UE access and wireless link transmission functions through the Uu interface, reports measurement information, and sends system information broadcasts. The main task of RRU is to achieve the mutual conversion between baseband digital I/Q signals and RF signals, as well as other auxiliary work required for the normal operation of RRU.
