On the afternoon of February 19, 47 members of the Far East Communications team supporting Shijiazhuang's fight against the COVID-19 epidemic (hereinafter referred to as the "technical team") successfully completed their mission and returned to their posts. A simple but grand farewell ceremony was held by the Shijiazhuang Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Command Center. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Lixin, Deputy Director of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Transportation Bureau, and attended by Chang Zhenfeng, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Chang Junhua, Deputy Director of the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau; Shen Ke, Deputy Director of the Municipal Government's Comprehensive Office; Yao Yong, Chairman of Far East Communications; and Li Guang, Vice President of Far East Communications. After the farewell ceremony, leaders including Chang Zhenfeng accompanied the Far East Communications technical team back to the company, where they were greeted by Zhang Guihua, Director of the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation Network Communication Research Institute and General Manager of China Electronics Network Communication Group Co., Ltd.; Wang Guangming, Vice President of the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation Network Communication Research Institute; and Li Junjun, Executive Vice President of Far East Communications, and other leaders.

Responsibility and Commitment

Yao Yong, Chairman of Far East Communications, reported on behalf of the technical team, systematically summarizing the team's work during the epidemic. He mentioned that the epidemic was a command, and prevention and control were a responsibility. At a critical moment, Far East Communications took the initiative to volunteer, dispatching the company's business backbone to work day and night, continuously fighting for 72 hours to complete the development, deployment, and application of the "Shijiazhuang Concentrated Isolation Medical Observation Point Management System." At the same time, dozens of R&D and technical support personnel were arranged to provide online one-on-one technical training and 7*24-hour operation and maintenance support and guarantee services for isolation points throughout the city. After more than a month of arduous struggle, the Far East Communications technical team members lived up to their mission, successfully completed their tasks, provided strong support for the government in clarifying the data of isolation points, and provided a basis for scientific prevention and control.

Chang Junhua, Deputy Director of the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Isolation Sub-command Center, expressing heartfelt thanks for the contributions made by the Far East Communications technical team in the epidemic prevention and control work. Chang Junhua said that at the most urgent moment of epidemic prevention and control, the arrival of the Far East Communications technical team put her mind at ease. The management system quickly developed by the team realized the real-time collection, dynamic management, and statistical analysis of various types of information from isolation points, providing effective data support for decision-making by provincial and municipal leaders. Looking back over the past month, the selfless dedication and outstanding performance of the Far East Communications technical team members, regardless of cost or personal gain, showed her the sense of responsibility and selfless dedication of central enterprise technology workers.

According to the latest news from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Command Center, starting from February 22, Shijiazhuang has been adjusted to a low-risk area, and dining in, public cultural and sports venues, etc., have been restored in an orderly manner.
