Recently, Far East Communication successfully won the bid for the 2024 second batch of public procurement projects of State Grid North Hebei Power Company—the IMS business system. This is the first IMS dispatching business system transformation project of the State Grid Corporation of China, and also a new breakthrough for Far East Communication in the field of power dispatching communication!

 
Currently, the dispatching business of the State Grid Corporation of China mainly uses voice communication. After the transformation using IMS technology, it will form a dual-mode backup network that integrates traditional voice dispatching and IP multimedia dispatching, realizing a new dispatching model that integrates audio, video, and intelligent applications. At the same time, after the project transformation, it can also effectively improve the supporting capabilities of the dispatching exchange network in aspects such as multi-system access, unified dispatching and command, business security carrying, and collaborative applications of new power systems. The construction of this project provides an application demonstration for the technological research and pilot construction of the next generation of power dispatching communication, and will become a new starting point for the development of domestic power dispatching communication.

The IMS dispatching system used in this project was independently developed by Far East Communication and has obtained the telecommunication equipment access license issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The system features seamless compatibility and backup with the existing power dispatching network, dual-mode terminal access, open business interfaces, fixed-mobile convergence, and seamless user switching, and can meet the requirements of users for high-reliability communication, multimedia integrated dispatching, and smooth system upgrades.
