News Flash | Far East Communications broadband cluster products pass interoperability certification

On August 4, the Broadband Trunked Radio System Industry Alliance (B-Trunc) announced that Far East Communications' broadband trunked radio terminals, base stations, and core network—three B-TrunC Phase 2 interoperability products—successfully passed expert review, becoming one of six nationwide suppliers of B-TrunC Phase 2 products. This marks Far East Communications' ability to deploy large-scale networks and achieve interoperability in the broadband trunked radio communication field, enabling it to provide industry users with larger-scale, more flexible networking technologies and richer, more secure service experiences.

The B-TrunC Phase 2 standard, based on the Phase 1 standard, further enhances capabilities in large-scale networking, inter-network switching and roaming, and open interfaces between base stations and core network equipment. It strengthens broadband multimedia trunking dispatch functions for wireless government, public safety, rail transit, and railway industries, as well as new services such as positioning and multimedia messaging. It also achieves interoperability with narrowband digital trunking communications, PSTN, and public cellular mobile communication networks, providing a solid standard basis for the large-scale development of broadband trunking and emergency communications.
