On the morning of May 16, the Office of the State Council's Earthquake Relief Headquarters, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Yunnan Provincial People's Government jointly held a joint air-ground integrated rescue exercise for earthquake disasters in mountainous and valley regions in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, under the name "Emergency Mission 2023".
This exercise simulated a situation where a strong earthquake caused numerous casualties and building collapses, with disruptions to roads, electricity, water supply, and communication in the affected areas. A total of 4,300 professional and social emergency forces were deployed, comprehensively testing the rapid response and disaster relief capabilities in the new era of "resisting major earthquakes, responding to major risks, and rescuing major disasters".

In emergency rescue, emergency communication is a lifeline and plays a vital role. As an important supporting unit of this exercise, Far East Communications was fully responsible for the system construction and operation and maintenance of the emergency command narrowband wireless communication network,
and successfully completed the communication support task. During the exercise, Far East Communications, starting from actual combat, deployed a public-private integrated cluster system in the rear command center—the Yunnan Provincial Emergency Management Bureau. 370MHz multi-carrier mobile base stations and airborne base stations were deployed at the exercise sites in Lijiang, Dali, and Zhaotong. Simultaneously, 370MHz dedicated terminals and PoC public network cluster terminals were provided to commanders at all levels, subject directors, and participating teams. Through front-and-rear coordination, a "public-private integrated, fixed-mobile combined, and air-ground coordinated" emergency command voice communication network was built, achieving integrated interoperability between different exercise sites and different teams, enabling command instructions to reach the front line, and providing stable and reliable communication support for the smooth progress of the exercise.

"Emergency Mission" is the largest and most influential comprehensive emergency rescue exercise organized by the national emergency system. Since 2021, Far East Communications has provided support for the "Emergency Mission" exercise for three consecutive years, accumulating rich practical experience.
In the future, Far East Communications will continue to cultivate the emergency management industry, deeply research user needs, be guided by practical experience, increase product innovation efforts, develop more products suitable for emergency rescue scenarios, and contribute to promoting the modernization of the national emergency management system and capabilities, and assisting in the digital transformation of the emergency management industry!

Look, this is what we provided during the exercise!
370MHz PDT Multi-Carrier Mobile Base Station

The 370MHz PDT multi-carrier mobile base stations deployed at the main and branch venues of the exercise integrate base station and core network functions. Using a software-defined radio architecture, the number of carrier frequencies can be flexibly configured according to actual on-site needs, greatly improving the flexibility of on-site deployment.
370MHz PDT Airborne Base Station

The Far East Communications 370MHz PDT airborne base station, mounted on the "Wing Loong" drone, is currently the industry's highest-integrated PDT cluster base station, weighing only 8.5kg. It can achieve 370MHz PDT digital cluster signal coverage over an area of 15,000 square kilometers, providing a reliable communication network for large-scale, cross-regional joint rescue.
Communication Terminals

Far East Communications has conducted in-depth research into user application scenarios and provided a variety of communication terminals for commanders at all levels, participating teams, and subject directors, including PDT handheld terminals, PoC handheld terminals, and PDT/PoC dual-mode terminals, ensuring that the command center can "reach and find" personnel on site, greatly improving communication efficiency.
