Foreword
 

Affected by continuous rainfall in early October and the release of floodwater from the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the flow rate of the Yellow River at Huayuankou reached approximately 4700 cubic meters per second, resulting in a severe flood control situation in Henan Province, located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.

Responding to the Flood
 

Flood control is a top priority. Faced with the severe autumn floods on the Yellow River, Far East Communications immediately provided emergency communication support to the Yellow River flood control front line in Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou, with portable command boxes, PDT mobile stations, PDT terminals, self-organizing networks, data acquisition terminals, and drones, safeguarding the safety of the Yellow River.

Based on the actual needs of the Yellow River front line in Zhengdong New District, the Far East Communications support team built an integrated emergency communication support solution for the front-line command center and the Yellow River checkpoint. This solution has played an important role in the "Yunnan Yangbi Earthquake," "Hebei Flood Control and Drought Relief Exercise," and "Guizhou Geological Disaster Emergency Rescue Exercise."

Emergency Communication
 

1. Yellow River Front Line

The Yellow River beach area in Zhengdong New District stretches approximately 7.9 kilometers. After understanding the on-site situation, the Far East Communications support team quickly built a three-dimensional, mobile emergency command network with extensive coverage and multiple perspectives along the Yellow River front line. This network enables multi-channel video transmission, group calls, video conferencing, and collaborative operations, allowing command personnel at the front line to "see, hear, and command."

2. Front-line Command Center

At the front-line command center in Zhengdong New District, leaders from the Zhengdong New District Management Committee and the Emergency Management Bureau can use the Far East Communications portable command box to view videos from drones and individual soldiers at the checkpoints. They can also combine multi-dimensional information from the checkpoints to rationally deploy flood control resources, ensuring timely assessment and handling of any emergencies to protect public safety.

As of press time, the Far East Communications support team has been working continuously for more than 10 days, strictly following flood control requirements and making every effort to ensure emergency communication support, guaranteeing the safety of the Yellow River embankment.
