On August 18th, the Guangfo urban rail transit network welcomed a "new member." With the green and white passenger cars slowly entering the station, the first section of the Foshan Nanhai Tram Line 1, constructed with the participation of Far East Communication, officially opened and commenced initial operation!
Opening Ceremony
The Nanhai Tram Line 1 is approximately 14.3 kilometers long, with a total of 15 stations. The first section, opening from Gang to Sanshan New Town North, includes 10 stations and allows for transfers with the Guangfo Line. The Nanhai Tram Line 1 is one of the important connecting projects between Foshan Metro Line 2 and the Guangfo Metro Line, and also a crucial component of Foshan's urban rail transit network. As an extension of urban rail transit, it further strengthens the connection between Foshan and Guangzhou, playing a positive role in Foshan's construction of a "four-network integrated" rail transit system, promoting the integration of Guangzhou and Foshan, and fully integrating into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
