From May 19th to 21st, the "RT FORUM 2021 Sixth China Smart Rail Transit Conference," hosted by RT Rail Transit and co-organized by Far East Communication, was held in Suzhou.

Far East Communication showcased its 5G vehicle-ground wireless communication solution, urban rail communication intelligent operation and maintenance solution, and tunnel emergency communication solution at the conference. The company engaged in in-depth discussions with industry experts from urban rail transit industry owners, research institutions, design institutes, and equipment manufacturing enterprises across the country, exploring future industry development trends and providing a "smart engine" for the high-quality development of the urban rail transit industry.
Keynote Speech

Focusing on new policies, trends, and technologies, Song Kailei, senior solution manager at Far East Communication, delivered a keynote speech titled "Discussion on the Development Trend of Smart Urban Rail Communication" at the information communication sub-forum. He introduced how Far East Communication, against the backdrop of digital transformation, leverages its communication expertise to build a fusion communication dispatching capability centered on 5G, while simultaneously providing smart operation and maintenance solutions based on communication capabilities, empowering the safe and high-quality development of the urban rail transit industry. This presentation garnered significant attention from attendees.

The 5G vehicle-ground wireless communication solution adopts a cloud deployment method, featuring streamlined deployment and simplified operation and maintenance. It seamlessly connects to the operator's MEC/UPF edge nodes at the lower end and provides rich business functions at the upper end, enabling video analysis, group communication, and intelligent operation and maintenance. Meanwhile, the rail-specific MEP platform and applications possess self-diagnosis, self-evolution, and self-healing capabilities, effectively enhancing network resilience and reducing the difficulty and intensity of operation and maintenance, thereby promoting cost reduction and efficiency improvement in operation and maintenance work. Furthermore, operation and maintenance personnel can use the AR inspection function of the 5G handheld terminal to quickly associate on-site conditions with equipment and facility health management information, and can remotely and real-time connect with operation and maintenance experts to quickly locate and resolve operation and maintenance issues.

Smart Empowerment for Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement

The urban rail communication intelligent operation and maintenance solution integrates alerts, performance, and logs from various subsystems. Based on the establishment of a business key indicator system, it mines data patterns, enhances the understanding of operation and maintenance data, intelligently assists in fault diagnosis, and helps operation and maintenance personnel quickly identify faults and problems that are difficult for humans to detect. At the same time, it accurately warns of system risks, transforming passive operation and maintenance into proactive operation and maintenance, and promoting the continuous evolution of operation and maintenance work from planned maintenance to condition-based maintenance. Using digital and intelligent methods, it achieves improved quality and efficiency in operation and maintenance work.
Tunnel Emergency Communication
Exploring Practical Applications in Specific Scenarios

The tunnel emergency communication solution comprehensively utilizes various communication methods to achieve network coverage from the on-site command center to the accident area in the tunnel, and to enable communication with the rear command center. It provides functions such as on-site data acquisition, monitoring of the physical signs and location of rescue personnel, on-site emergency dispatching, and rear-end collaborative command, facilitating collaboration among various parties to respond to accidents and disasters in stations or tunnels, ensuring safe and efficient tunnel emergency rescue.
